Five Deer on Golf Course
Five deer frolic on a golf course. They were seemingly oblivious to my presence.
Branches Reflected in Puddle
Focusing on the water's surface created a fairy tale picture. Branches reflect on some patches.
Vivid Green Leaves
I loved the brightness of these leaves covered in raindrops. They looked so lush. The little yellow leaf that had been washed on adds a splash of complementary color.
Fly Shadow Seen Through Leaf
Just as I was sizing up this leaf (I Ioved the texture and the dappled shading caused by light coming from behind through branches) a fly settled on the underside - casting a perfect shadow. I had to work fast to incorporate this into the picture.
Ants on Dandelion
Ants swarm on a perfect dandelion. The colors of the flower came through perfectly - making a wonderful contrast to the stark black of the ants. In the final print the ants can be seen in glorious detail.
Single Ant on Dandelion
This ant is picked out in perfect detail. I exposed so the background would be dark and more abstract so that it would add to the feel of the picture rather than grab attention.
Angled Tree Trunks Black and White
I loved the way these three trees lean together to catch the best available light. The effect is accentuated by the straight trees in the background and the treeless space in front of them. Perfect little details are everywhere!
