This lovely stone angel spreads joy in a little backyard garden.
Lighthouse Door

The gold door stands in vivid contrast to the bright red lighthouse. This photograph's soft feel was created by using the setting sun.
Metal Stork Looking at Reflection

A metal statue of a stork looks at its own reflection. It almost looks quizzical. I took this photograph at an angle that incorporated 3 beaks - the statue's beak, its reflection and its shadow.
Denis Sullivan (Tall Ship) Visiting Chicago

I captured the Denis Sullivan - a tall ship built by volunteers in Milwaukee - while it was visiting Chicago. Note the downtown Chicago skyline in the background of this photograph.
Water Curtain

A slow speed photograph in low light brought a wonderful array of colors out in this photograph of a curtain of water. One of my goals here was to create a silken texture and tiny clouds where the curtain hits the water.
Ecosystem Lamps

I captured these lamps with the branches behind because they reminded me of those ecosystem globes filled with tiny ecologies. Like the globes themselves, this photo is very easy to maintain!
Stone Bear in Woods

This statue of a bear looks into the woods. In the full picture you can see that she is made of a wonderful granite. The stone has a marvelous smooth texture and an array of mottled colors. She is truly camouflaged. I exposed to accentuate this.
Third Ward Fireworks

|
These fireworks in Milwaukee's historic Third Ward burst with violet color. The firework trails splash in front of typical Third Ward buildings. On the full sized prints the buildings are slightly blurred and this adds to the impact of the firework trails.
